For the last 2 assignments, I have chosen to do the dinner party invitation and the book cover series. I have done some research for the dinner party invites, but I have done more for the book covers. Themes that I am contemplating for the dinner party starts with Clue or a Who-Done-It type dinner (which would be interactive for the guests). Party by the Pool is another theme of which I haven't quite worked out the details (I’m thinking a ritzy sort of soirée where the guests are to come in elegant eveningwear but dine poolside, or a messy BBQ that would require guests bathe in the pool). Another thought I had teetered between an 80’s and a 50’s theme party; both eras had very unique styles in fashion, colors and music.

 

As for the book covers, I have decided to go with spine tinglers and have not only done the research, but I have actually read all of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. I am thinking of concentrating on the shadows of the characters being present because of a lightening light source. I think that I will use black and white or one spot color of blue.
